Inside a Modern 3,200 Sq. Foot Home with Pink Spiral Staircase | FULL HOUSE TOUR

Welcome to the home of award-winning architect Yuri Zagorin Alazraki in Mexico City. Casa Kiki was designed by Yuri’s architecture firm ZDA - a multi-year renovation of the California style residence originally built in 1938 in Lomas de Chapultepec. Rather than preserving the house as a historical object or replacing it outright, the project reworks the existing structure around light, thermal comfort, and a stronger connection between interior and exterior. At the center of the home, a glazed skylight brings daylight into a double height volume, where a myrtle tree grows up through a circular opening in the floor. The turret opens directly onto the adjacent study through an arched doorway, built as a flexible workspace with reclaimed timber, black steel shelving, and mirrored surfaces that carry light further into the room. Throughout the house, patios and gardens are treated as extensions of the interior. Stone paths, mature trees, and planted courtyards form a sequence of outdoor rooms that shape movement through the home and bring in natural ventilation. Yuri's home is private.
